I was recruited to be a Physical Education major but my father insisted on Math. I’ve always loved math and still do .I grew up in a swimming pool and went to Junior Olympics in swimming, I was fortunate to grow up in the South as the schools introduced me to so many sports!  My favorites still are soccer, swimming, and tennis.  And being a good southern gal I love both college and pro basketball!  I’m slowly acclimating to the west coast teams.  And as you all know I was born with the gift of gab!  That I  attribute to being the middle child.  My husband works for the dreaded oil company Chevron and we have two beautiful children.  Our son is working in Napa and is marrying late September in Mendocino and our daughter is engaged and living on the coast of Ct.  And that’s the short and sweet of my life to date.  And I love all you ladies and try hard to keep up with each of you at Curves.

Hello ladies!

I have recently become a San Franciscan, as I have wanted to be since I first came to the city at the tender age of fourteen. I am here on some scholarships studying sculpture for a fine arts degree at the San Francisco Art Institute. I came from Santa Barbara where I lived for sixteen years of my life! So, yes, a change of scenery was greatly received. I studied sculpture at Santa Barbara City College for a little over a year and was urged by my professors that it was time for me to think about an art school. So after some hard work and research, I was given a scholarship from my sculpture professor at City College for the Art Institute, as well as a Dean scholarship for an excellent portfolio.

In Santa Barbara I worked at the Curves for family friends and very much enjoyed being around all the women, and the wonderful conversations I had with them.

So far I could not ask for more; in this season of youth, the city, freedom and art school I am very excited to be here working at another Curves as I experience this new chapter in my life. I will be sure to always let everyone know when I have a show or gallery opening coming up (which there will be!) so get excited about that!

I look forward to meeting and talking to all of you, don’t forget to check those heart rates and look for the small red head.
